Kerstantch Highlands Kerstantch Woods With her last breath, Kerra Pech made me make a vow. And to this day, I complete that vow, year after year, hoping to see her again. Where are you, I still see your image, running through these trees and teasing me to chase. But I chase, and time again the woods force me to remember. Remember the truth about us. I don't care, I will hold to the vow. We will be together again, one way, or another. - Ceril Archanist - Caravan of 249 Kerstantch Woods occupy a great majority of the highlands. They're composed of trees thicker than seen, and it has never been mapped successfully, as the trees grow at a supernatural rate. Ceril, from the legends page, walked into these woods one year and never returned. There are sections of this forested area that have never been seen by any race's eyes. Despite never being mapped, there are those who navigate this area regularly and can tell by 'instinct' where to go to reach their destination. Any manner of creature or beast has been found among its canopies and corners, so travellers should be *extremely* cautious when venturing into this place. Ramlia Village Everything is made of earth, and to earth everything shall return. Pretty big words for someone so long ago. But they hold some bit of wisdom. Here, more so than others, where the Lilties and Clavats play in their holes, digging for treasures waiting to be taken away. But then the question remains... by whom? - Rah Voln Equar - Caravan of 1000 Ramlia is a village, once beset by greatness. In Xeviounezen's journal entry, he speaks of the 'great stone foundations' of Ramlia, but any greatness has vanished over the years, leaving it a small village boarding the mountains and the nearly impassable forests. Even so, many travelers (Espically moogles) serve as guides, messengers, and delivery men, navigating the trees with ease. The result is those in Ramlia frequently hear of the outside world, but very few ever see it personally. Nenva Caverns The caverns are a big hole in the ground. Not much more to say about it, apart from the goblins, methane, goblins, cave-ins, goblins, flooding, goblins, fire, goblins, traps, goblins, acid, and of course, goblins. No biggie, really. - Rilna Stage - Caravan of 475 The Nenva caverns lie beneath and inside the mines of Ramlia. They're famous, as you've guessed, for goblins. And lots of them. Nenva also contains veins of very precious metals the deeper it is dug. The tree lies beyond an exit somewhere in the twisted caves, on a mountain-top in a state of permafrost, with its guardians, a family of ice-dragons. Elsha Bluff I remember when I could look from here and see as far as ever. Now, though, I can't even see Ramlia's great stone foundations. The miasma has choked the beauty from this world, before my very eyes, stripping sight like a mold. I leave a marking here for others to follow. Maybe they too will remember the strength that we give ourselves, not the weakness this accursed substance throws in our minds. - Xeviounezen Riaesefosh - Caravan of 4 Elsha Bluff lies a bit to the west of Ramlia in the woods. From it, Xeviounezen claims to be able to see Ramlia, but that has since changed. The trek up the bluff is hazardous and littered with bad roads and inclimate weather, as well as monsters. This tree, oddly, doesn't have a guardian so much as a keeper, in the form of an ice- spirit. Styrge River Water flows, and water stops. And then it goes. And it stops. Except here, where the water flows and it doesn't stop because the water behind it pushes it. I wonder why the water's so pushy. Maybe it's in a hurry to get somewhere? - Naila Shel Phelson - Caravan of 1251 The Styrge river seperates the mainland from the Quellen landmass. There really isn't much about it, except that most traffic is seen through here in the summer months, as caravans and traders travel across to do their business. A number of ferries are docked here to accomidate the travelers. This river's crystal is provided for by the Quellen caravan. The passing waters leave much to thought, and has someone meditating (or just falling asleep) in its waters at most times. Accomidations are available here, but rather expensive given its location.
